About the role
The IT Enterprise Architect will be responsible for integrating the vendor products and developing integrations and implementing the Integration systems architecture of the organization to align with corporate strategy and goals. In addition to enterprise level systems design, this role provides a reaching vision, anticipates problems, and identifies areas of concerns for scaling the business as it pertains to corporate systems.  

  

The Enterprise Architect role develops integration roadmaps, standards, and best practices, leads in architecture review, and serves as a key business partner for MyEyeDr.  systems critical to the daily operation of the business. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this role will oversee documentation of architecture roadmaps, data models, communication protocols, and systems integration.  

This is a hybrid role with a flexible work arrangement out of our Vienna, VA or Raleigh, NC offices. 

  

You Will 

  • Develop and maintain strategy and implementation for systems integration through COTS platforms and cloud native services.
  • Be a hands on, working leader as well as developing proof of concept application components, integration adapters, and integration data models.
  • Build visual diagrams documenting applications, integrations, and business domains.
  • Develop and maintain application development standards aligned with industry best practices.
  • Administer various cloud native services including api gateways, application services, messaging services, caching, key vaults, container services, and storage accounts.
  • Provide guidance on end-to-end management of source code repositories, Azure DevOps build and release pipelines.
  • Work with development teams to provide guidance on application architecture, performance, integration code reviews and scalability.
  • Work closely with Security and Infrastructure teams to adhere to compliance and networking standards.
  • Educate application development teams and IT resources on industry trends and progressive topics.
  • Assist in build vs buy assessments and conduct product evaluations. 

  

About You 

·        Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems/Technology, or related field 

·        10+ years of design, Integration development and implementation of enterprise software applications 

·        7+ years as a software architect across multiple domains including retail healthcare 

·        hosting models and gateway patterns 

·        Experience in application identity management standards such as OAuth 

·        Experience in implementing and promoting API standards like OpenAPI, GraphQL and Restful APIs.  

·        Experience in event driven architecture and message queuing patterns 

·        Experience designing integration models using JSON/Avro schemas 

·        Experience in GitHub and Azure Repos, Azure DevOps,  

·        Experience integrating systems using a cloud native Azure or AWS services 

·        Experience in relational and NoSql databases 

·        Experience migrating legacy applications to service oriented architecture 

·        Highly organized, able to effectively manage competing priorities  

·        Any experience with caching technologies is a plus
