About the role

The Sr. Inventory Planner is responsible for delivering a best-in-class patient experience through the strategic management of inventory.  This individual will drive the reduction and prevention of excess inventory, through the identification, mitigation, and execution of exit strategies of at-risk inventory before it has a financial impact. This individual will manage cross-functional efforts to create solutions and prevent unproductive inventory. This role will partner with the merchandising, distribution, operational and finance teams to monitor and execute inventory movement in support of sales, financial goals, and contractual obligations.

This is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of our Vienna, VA office. 
You Will
  • Review and analyze business to identify potential inventory opportunities or liabilities and recommend actions to adjust inventory targets.
  • Recommend and execute inventory re-balancing opportunities, as necessary
  • Monitor Office Inventory levels and manage placement of replenishment orders to optimize inventory levels in office
  • Partner with distribution center to place stock orders ensuring in-stock positions for office orders
  • Manage placement of new release orders and complete updates due to office openings, closings, or planogram changes
  • Forecast and manage the procurement spend by month and report variances
  • Manage and track orders to meet Vendor open-to-buy criteria
  • Work closely with distribution center to monitor vendor returns, ensuring return $ are maximized and strategically utilized
  • Maintain proper inventory levels by office location to support sales, margin and turn goals.
  • Analyze sku performance and recommend and initiate next actions
About You
  • 4+ years experience in demand, merchandise planning, replenishment or a related field
  • Bachelors Degree or the equivalent combination of education, experience and skills
  • Optical experience a plus
  • You are a data driven individual with a curious, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Have a desire and willingness to work collaboratively in a group
  • Possess strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • You have strong computer skills including business applications such as MS Windows and MS Office, especially Excel
