About the role

The Managed Care Systems Administration Specialist is a member of the MVC Systems Administration Systems and Reporting team. The candidate should have a history of supporting enterprise practice management systems as well as supporting technologies.  You’ll work with cross-functional teams to maintain effective systems that support office insurance billing as well as revenue cycle processes. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Systems Administrator & Reporting, you’ll partner with our revenue cycle and operations teams to standardize the build and maintenance of systems data but also to identify opportunities for improvement.

This position is a hybrid/remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of our Vienna, VA or Raleigh, NC offices.

 

You Will

 

  • Provide daily maintenance and support to several of our business systems including data entry, data normalization and output tracking.
  • Perform necessary system testing for the department prior to scheduled system updates
  • Work closely with Revenue Cycle and automation teams to help find the best available solution for changing needs
  • Generate financial and performance reports for the department to support daily functions and workflows
  • Leverage system data and reporting to identify areas of high impact
  • Exercise technical adaptability in a variety of MVC system platforms in order to support evolving Managed Care processes within MyEyeDr
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of MyEyeDr. Office processes, especially related to insurance and Managed Vision Care
  • Become an expert in a certain part of our product/systems and have a clear understanding of the current pain points and business problems that the company is facing
  • Monitor system functions and performance to ensure daily efficiency and accuracy in insurance billing calculations and processing

 

About You

  • 2+ years working in practice management systems
  • 2+ years revenue cycle/insurance billing experience
  • experience in the Optical or Medical industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills and level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies in workflows/processes and implement improvement
