About the role

The Revenue Cycle Analytics Manager will be responsible for end-to-end revenue cycle analysis and will track, identify, and resolve points of friction to ensure maximization of reimbursements and increase revenue. They will work closely with leadership and department management to optimize insurance billing activities. 

 

Reporting to the Director, MVC Systems & Analytics, this is a crucial role within the organization, responsible for analyzing and optimizing Managed Vision Care processes to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

 

This position is a hybrid/remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of our Vienna, VA or Raleigh, NC offices.

 

You Will

 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytic systems, tackling complicated problems
  • Reduce manual reports and processes
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue cycle processes, including patient registration, charge capture, coding, billing, collections, and reimbursement. Identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to enhance revenue generation and reduce denials.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle operations, such as days in accounts receivable (AR), denial rate, clean claim rate, and cash flow. Generate reports and dashboards to present findings to management.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to streamline revenue cycle operations and enhance revenue capture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standardize workflows.
  • Utilize revenue cycle management software and data analytics tools to extract and analyze data, enabling data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
  • Create and maintain data tables, source code and visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting appropriate combination of methods and tools within defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution
  • Use Power BI to create reports and visualizations to better source the root of the problem and improve KPIs

 

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management and healthcare billing in a healthcare setting required.
  • Proficiency in using revenue cycle management software and data analytics tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
  • Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and comfort working with several ongoing concurrent projects
  • Prior experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
  • Strong programming experience through the use of statistical packages including SAS, Python
  • Experience in MS SQL Server administration skills, Power BI, AI and building stored procedures, views, functions, and data modeling of tables
  • Familiar with financial analysis
