About the role
The Workforce Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and processes of the Workforce Management System, including delivering project and/or program results within established deadlines. Oversee Work Force Management development including training materials, enhanced applications, technology, and operational processes. Work is performed under limited supervision. Direct report to the Sr. Program Manager, Analytics and Labor.

This role offers a flexible work arrangement in the Raleigh, NC or Vienna, VA areas.

You Will

  • Manage the Workforce Management System to ensure successful implementation of strategy and project plans within established deadlines
  • Support labor hours and staffing forecasting models utilizing transactional data and time standards to ensure models are based on the specific needs of the business
  • Coordinate internal Time and Motion studies for office processes to ensure current processes are accounted for and new processes are correctly measured and reflected in the Labor Model
  • Model the fiscal impact of Work Force Management results, evaluate seasonal fluctuations and assess the need to adjust productivity scales
  • Track actual performance against targeted project performance, analyze variances, and partner with stakeholders to remedy gaps
  • Partner with Internal Operations to support workload planning and task assignments; leverage Work Force Management to support the task management platform
  • Build strong relationships with the Internal Operations, Business Intelligence, and field leadership teams to proactively address friction points and/or opportunities
  • Support project rollout strategies by developing training plans that are intuitive to execute, which will drive adoption and effectiveness throughout the life cycle of the Workforce Management System
  • Demonstrate the ability to represent the end user perspective when considering systemic changes
  • Assist in the development, execution, and maintenance of training documentation and operations manuals for operational and system changes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships throughout the organization with both field and cross-functional home office partners
  • Partner with support teams (e.g., Service Desk, multi-unit managers, etc.) to provide system training to end-users
  • Support the creation of labor reporting for offices, and multi-unit managers to ensure they have the data to manage payroll, staffing, and scheduling optimization
  • Focus on exception reporting for offices and multi-unit managers to efficiently identify business opportunities to drive return on investment
  • Sustain vendor relationships to maintain accountability for project and system deliverables

About You

  • 1-3 years of Workforce Management or Resource Planning experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in healthcare and/or retail operations
  • Bachelor’s degree Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Experience in capturing Time and Motion studies and implementation of the applied data in labor modeling
  • Experience in trend analysis and ability to interpret data to provide recommendations to drive key business decisions
  • Experience in data analytics, root cause analysis and solution implementation
  • Working knowledge of SQL and clear navigation of relative tables and data points
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including report and dashboard development, data modeling, and DAX language
  • Advanced research, data mining/querying, analysis, and reporting skills, including proficiency in sophisticated statistical methods, modeling, and forecasting
  • Advanced analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results, and relationships
  • Advanced analytical skills to identify potential obstacles and/or opportunities to inspire change and drive the business
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, collaborative, and results-driven environment with minimal guidance and supervision
  • Advanced skill in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g., Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
