About the role
The Director, Talent Technology & Analytics is responsible for planning, managing, directing, and administering the tools, systems, and data associated with talent acquisition, rewards, and organizational development. You will oversee the configuration of systems, process optimization, and development of recurring and ad-hoc reports and dashboards linked to strategic priorities, metrics tracking, and decision making. You will also provide analytic insights and trends related to staffing, turnover, mobility, diversity, performance, and employee feedback. You will report to the VP, HR Operations and partner frequently with the Talent Acquisition, Talent and Organizational Development, Rewards, HR Shared Services, and HRIS teams.
This is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of our Vienna, VA office.
You Will
- Oversee the configuration and maintenance of systems and tools that support various Talent Management functions (e.g., Applicant Tracking System, Benefits Administration, Compensation Management, Employee Feedback Data Collection, etc.).
- Provide support for LMS and other performance management tools to optimize user experience and reporting capabilities.
- Develop and communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to leaders, and oversee the creation, delivery and maintenance of simple and complex reports.
- Analyze and summarize data and trends to track toward key metrics.
- Develop effective and scalable dashboards and reporting solutions based on statistical analyses to identify meaningful insights and trends, including long term plan for delivery of data/reporting via automation (e.g., Power BI).
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators, determine gaps in performance metrics, and recommend/execute change management techniques for efficiency/ quality improvements.
- Partner with department executives, leadership and other key personnel to align on overall deliverables and develop the long-term strategic direction and roadmap.
- Spearhead enhancements list, identify new capabilities, functionality, and process improvements for HRIS systems; lead efforts for associated rollouts including project planning and communications in collaboration with other HR functions.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
- Oversee building and maintenance of technical interfaces with external solutions providers (e.g., retirement and benefits, Talent systems, and Core HR).
- Direct the development of user procedures and documentation of processes, and training for stakeholders and system users on processes and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues and unexpected results or process flaws.
- Participate in vendor management.
- Demonstrate integrity in keeping information confidential and following protocols for sharing data.
- Perform supervisory/managerial responsibilities.
- Set direction to ensure goals and objectives align with corporate and division strategy.
- Select management and other key personnel; oversee talent development/succession planning.
- Establish performance goals and priorities.
- Prepare and conduct performance reviews.
- Provide input and/or prepare budget requirements.
- Ensure efficiency of operations.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Human Resource Management, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Eight (8) years of experience working with cloud software and/or in a technology-focused role, with emphasis in Human Resources systems administration (e.g., Human Capital Management, Talent Management, etc.).
- Significant experience researching information, building requirements, and analyzing information to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
- Advanced analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results and relationships.
- Advanced skill to comprehend large complex talent datasets and translate data analytics into business insights.
- Expert skill in Microsoft Excel for analysis and presentation of data, and with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Advanced knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis, and operations research, including statistical methods and modeling
- Expert skill communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Three (3) years of experience in project management, preferably related to HR systems implementation.
- Proven success in working independently and the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs with some level of ambiguity.
- Advanced customer service and collaboration skills.
- Three (3) years of experience developing team member performance.
- Expert skill developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with all levels of leadership, staff and vendors.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
