Senior Accounts Payable, COGS and Automation Specialist

About the role

The Senior Accounts Payable, Cost of Goods and Automation Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate payment of MyEyeDr Cost of Goods Sold and Inventory invoices in compliance with company policies. Ensures all COGS and Inventory suppliers are paid accurately and timely.   Works with Accounts Payable team to assess and execute areas of opportunity for automation. 

This role reports to the Manager, Accounts Payable and is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of our or Vienna, VA office.

You Will

• Be responsible for accurate and timely processing of all Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and Inventory suppliers.
• Work with accounts payable team to review opportunities to automate process.
• Work as an RPA Citizen Developer to complete attended automation opportunities
• Work with suppliers to digitize invoicing provided to AP team. Change management with suppliers will further promote automation.
• Leverage system knowledge to prepare analysis to support management initiatives and audit requests.
• Maintain proper Internal Controls and compliance with policies and with GAAP and IFRS accounting requirements
• Recognize financial opportunities and exposures, and escalate as appropriate, by effectively explaining the underlying issues and proposing a solution.
• Complete reconciliations of suppliers statements for COGS suppliers. Work with suppliers to ensure all unpaid invoices are processed and paid timely.

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of comparable experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Prior experience with Oracle
• UiPath Certified
• Proven accounting experience with working knowledge of payment processes
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills
