About the role
MyEyeDr. is looking a General Ledger Senior Accountant to join a team that has encountered significant expansion in a fast-growing organization.  The Senior Accountant will initially be responsible for performing the accounting, reconciliation and reporting of inventory and cost of goods sold in accordance with company policies and US GAAP. This role also involves reporting, which includes monthly P&Ls and detailed tracking analyses, ad-hoc reporting, and other executive level documents. This position provides the opportunity to grow and expand your knowledge by rotating into other areas within the Controllership team as the company continues to grow.

You Will

• Participate in major implementation of new Inventory Management System
• Prepare all inventory and COGS month-end close journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses
• Ensure subledger balances of all inventory and COGS accounts to general ledger and resolve any variances
• Monitor established inventory and cost of goods sold metrics and performance against established metrics
• Prepare inventory roll-forwards and analysis for management review
• Lead and coordinate all inventory and cost of goods sold accounting projects among all teams
• Produce consistent, accurate, and relevant reporting to audiences including office management, the leadership team and divisional executives
• Prepare financial reporting routinely and as requested for internal reporting requirements
• Assist the Supervisor with implementing a comprehensive reporting and planning tool in partnership with the financial planning and analysis team

About You

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a four-year college or university desired, but equivalent experience accepted
• 1-3 years of public accounting, general ledger or inventory accounting experience
• Experience with Oracle or comparable large ERP software system preferred (e.g. SAP)
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
