About the role
The primary function of this position is to support MyEyeDr. associates through managing, communicating, and implementing benefit and wellness programs that allow our associates to live their best lives.  You will administer the MyEyeDr. Health, Welfare, Retirement and Wellness programs, maintaining compliance and accuracy in the plans.  You will manage vendor relationships and ensure accurate invoicing, effective program administration and cost efficacy.  You will assist associates in understanding the organization’s benefit offerings and act as a liaison between the organization and vendors on day-to-day issues. You will manage open enrollment, audits, and invoicing, as well as special projects as needed.  The Benefits Manager reports to the Director, Benefits. A remote or hybrid work schedule is supported. 

You Will

  • In partnership with the Director, Benefits, manage MyEyeDr’s benefit programs including retirement plan, leave, disability, life, wellness and health benefits.
  • Recommend benefits programs based on employee feedback and market developments, present ROI and suggest funding elements.
  • Manage compliance with federal, state and local benefits and leave related laws, completing timely reporting and submissions.
  • Prepare associate communications highlighting benefits options and the value of what is offered.
  • Manage benefits budget and report on spend. Prepare reporting on plan costs vs. budget for senior leadership.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for internal leaders in Finance, Accounting and Payroll to support accurate billing, employee and employer contributions. Manages benefit invoice reconciliations.
  • Serve as an escalation point for associates on Benefit and Wellness matters; managing the most complex Benefits inbox/assigned cases; providing a high level of service by ensuring issues are resolved timely, accurately, and efficiently including complex issues.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the benefits experience for associates.
  • Support, audit, and administer COBRA enrollments and compliance, LOA payments, FSA and HSA contributions, life events, medical support orders, and file feeds to vendors.
  • Assist in the administration of the open enrollment process, auditor inquires, and implementation of new benefit programs, as required.
  • Manage 401k program day to day enrollments, reporting and administration. Acts as day-to-day 401k contact for employees and vendor.
  • Mentors benefits team members.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration or management experience
  • 3+ year of benefit compliance experience
  • Certification in benefits administration, desirable
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
