Staff Accountant - Fixed Assets

About the role

The Staff Accountant – Fixed Assets position is responsible for performing certain monthly close and accounting operations activities relating to fixed asset and intangible assets accounting.  Those activities include the reviewing of invoices or contracts for capital components, recording fixed assets and intangibles activity into the ERP subledger and general ledger, reconciling related accounts, and working with department owners to understand and report on their capital spend.

You Will

• Participate in the monthly close process
• Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly consolidation of fixed and intangible asset activity and roll forward schedules
• Prepare monthly financial and reporting schedules relating to spend, budget and project code tracking
• Prepare supporting schedules for annual tax, legal, and governmental reporting submissions related to property
• Review or prepare acquisition accounting workpapers and valuation support related to fixed assets

About You

• 2 or more years related experience in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a four-year college or university Credentials
