See yourself starting a new career journey? The IT Integration Specialist for MyEyeDr. works as a part of a newly acquired business support team within the IT Department. They are responsible for providing technical support and managing the onsite third-party vendor teams for newly acquired offices of a multiunit optometry company based in Vienna, VA, with offices throughout the eastern U.S. The IT Integration Specialist possesses exceptional problem-solving abilities, effective written and oral communication skills, is capable of promptly resolving technical problems, and can coordinate the effort of the support team in incident response when necessary. Overall, the IT Integration Specialist contributes to the technological efficiency of operations within the company. This position is remote.

You Will

  • Choose between different problem resolution approaches to address complex technical concerns and problems.
  • Consult with newly acquired businesses to determine hardware, software, and networking needs.
  • Design, develop, procure, and implement IT solutions to newly acquired businesses.
  • Remotely manage and support onsite third-party vendors to perform equipment replacements, network migrations and software reinstallation.
  • Assist third party vendors in deploying VoIP phone and networking solutions.
  • Work service tickets reported, and document remedial actions taken.
  • Install and configure application and operating system software and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and network connectivity issues.
  • Perform regular maintenance to ensure that local hardware and systems perform correctly.
  • Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines.
  • Setup of equipment for employee use.  Performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or software.
  • Install and configure desktop/laptop PCs and peripherals such as printers and USB connected devices.
  • Train users to work with new computer hardware or software.
  • Prepare training aids that can provided to users or made available on the support request portal for self-service.
  • Provide management with feedback about areas of technical concern for associates and frequently encountered problems.

About You

  • 3+ years of IT support training or on-the-job experience in a helpdesk or computer support environment
  • High School Diploma required, associates or bachelor’s degree in computer related field is desired
  • Desktop training certification from Microsoft (MCDST or MCITP), CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, HDI-DST) desired
  • Familiarity with the support portal software application and how to triage the incoming service requests among the support team.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Windows PC hardware and software.
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control.
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve moderately complex technical issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of attention to details.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and ensure that all tickets are resolved promptly.
  • Success working within an office environment, collaborative working with a broad spectrum of internal customers.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.
